Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller & Strategist to join our leadership team.

This role combines financial stewardship with strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting operations, compliance, treasury activities, financial planning & analysis, investor readiness, and strategic business support for a fast-scaling global business.

You will work closely with the CEO and CFO Advisor to support board-level decision-making and drive financial excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Control, Governance & Treasury

  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, monthly closings, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Ensure statutory, SEZ, GST, and tax compliance
  • Liaise with vendors, legal teams, and banks for financial documentation
  • Support treasury initiatives and cash flow planning

B. FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)

  • Build and update financial models for revenue, expenses, and growth scenarios
  • Track burn rate, gross margins, and EBITDA trends across services and SaaS products
  • Provide monthly dashboards and actionable business insights to leadership
  • Conduct variance analysis (budget vs actuals) with root cause analysis and impact mapping

C. Investor & Board Readiness

  • Maintain investor pitch decks, financial disclosures, and cap tables
  • Support due diligence processes, data rooms, and investor queries
  • Align financial forecasts with broader business strategy and stakeholder narratives

D. Strategic Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with business unit heads on pricing, cost optimization, and resource planning
  • Partner with HR on payroll budgeting and Sales on revenue forecasting
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies

Required Skills & Tools

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
  • Exposure to Tableau, Power BI, or dashboarding tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Indian and US accounting standards and compliance frameworks
