Job Description

  • As a Control Management Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the line of business maintains a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment.
  • You will identify and escalate issues with a sense of urgency and partner with the Business to ensure timely remediation of these issues.
  • Your role will involve assisting in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business's risk and control environment, identifying significant gaps and weaknesses, and determining the root cause of control breaks.
  • Ensure controls are properly designed and operating effectively, contributing to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
  • Analyze program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) on an ongoing basis and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies.
  • Assist in developing Risk Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentation through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units.
  • Report compliance metrics to GFBM Management.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 8 years of experience in the financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business-related function/operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
