Contract Manager
Job Purpose
The Contract Manager is responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring full compliance with contract requirements while protecting the company's commercial interests. The role includes contract administration, claims, and variation management, and managing of quantity surveying functions.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage the EPC Contract and Consortium Agreement Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and protect contractual rights Draft, review, and issue contractual correspondence and notices Monitor time bars, claims, delay notices, and dispute matters
Lead preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of variations and change orders Support delay analysis and manage cost and time claims Monitor liquidated damages exposure and entitlement positions
Manage and oversee Quantity Surveying activities including measurement of works, interim valuations, certification, and final accounts Review and approve quantity take-offs, estimates, and valuations Ensure accurate documentation of variations, remeasurement, and cost adjustments
Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies Coordinate with project management, planning, engineering, and finance teams Maintain proper contractual documentation and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or related field Minimum 20 years of experience in contract and commercial management on large EPC projects Strong background in quantity surveying and cost control Experience in oil and gas is preferred Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skill.
