Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparing ingredients like vegetables, meats, and sauces as per recipes.
  • Cooks basic continental dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Ensures food is prepared and presented according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
  • Follows instructions from Chef de Partie and Sous Chef.
  • Stores food items properly and follows FIFO method.
  • Helps in reducing wastage and controlling portion sizes.
  • Ensures all kitchen equipment is used and handled safely.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in continental cuisine (preferably fine dining).
  • Basic knowledge of continental cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
