Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Continental Chef for an on-site, full-time role based in Chennai. The chef will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality continental dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and managing food preparation processes. Key responsibilities include menu planning, food plating, supervising kitchen staff, controlling food costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines. The individual will work collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Continental cuisine preparation, menu planning, and food presentation
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines
  • Kitchen management and team coordination skills
  • Ability to manage food inventory, control costs, and minimize waste
  • Creativity and innovation in developing new recipes and improving existing dishes
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and mentorship
  • Culinary certification or equivalent professional training; experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
