Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Content Writer & Social Media Manager based in Bengaluru, with the flexibility for some work-from-home days. The role includes creating engaging content for various platforms, developing and executing content strategies, conducting in-depth research to ensure relevance, writing and proofreading materials to align with brand voice, and managing social media channels to drive engagement and growth. You will work closely with various teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Content writing & creation:
1. Write high-quality, original, and engaging articles, blogs, and web content.
2. Develop compelling copy for social media, newsletters, and campaigns.
3. Ensure all content is SEO-optimised and aligned with brand tone.
B. Editorial & team management:
1. Manage and guide writers/freelancers, assign topics, and review drafts and publish.
2. Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency and maintain high-quality standards.
3. Maintain and update the editorial calendar for timely content delivery.
C. Trend spotting & curation:
1. Identify ongoing trends, viral topics, and cultural moments relevant to the brand.
2. Curate content ideas that resonate with target audiences.
3. Collaborate with design/video teams to turn ideas into engaging formats.
D. Social media strategy & execution:
1. Manage and grow the brand's presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter/X.
2. Plan and schedule content using tools like Buffer/Hootsuite.
3. Drive community engagement through comments, polls, and interactive posts.
4. Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, optimizing strategy accordingly.
E. Cross-functional collaboration:
1. Work closely with design, marketing, and leadership teams to align content with campaigns.
2. Support brand storytelling across all digital platforms.
3. Experiment with new content formats (Reels, Shorts, Stories, Blogs, etc.).
