About DROPZ
DROPZ is India's first true limited-edition platform, a culture-forward destination where every product drop is rare, intentional, and never restocked. We aren't just building a brand; we're building a platform that curates stories through exclusive in-house drops, creator collaborations, and collectible releases across fashion, lifestyle, and beyond. Every drop is a moment, but the platform is the big picture and our brand must ignite cultural hype.
As a Content Writer, you will own storytelling that turns each drop into something people feel, remember, and share. This is a 0 to 100 role where you move with daily intensity, take accountability for your output, and build long term alongside a team that values culture, craft, and execution. If you thrive in fast feedback loops, care about getting the details right, and want your writing to shape brand belief, you will fit in here.
What You'll Do
- Write long and mid form content across the funnel, including drop narratives, brand stories, creator spotlights, interviews, editorial, community updates, and landing page copy, ensuring each piece has a clear angle, a tight structure, and a defined reader outcome.
- Own first draft to final publish workflows by building outlines, aligning with stakeholders early, and managing revisions calmly, so the team can ship on time without last minute rewrites or tone drift.
- Translate cultural context into readable, shareable storytelling by turning trend inputs into why it matters narratives, and delivering drafts that feel specific and premium, not generic, with clear takeaways for the audience.
- Partner with Product and Merch to convert product details into benefits and cultural relevance, capturing fit, materials, inspiration, craftsmanship, and drop intent in copy that helps customers understand the piece and want it.
- Build and maintain a consistent editorial voice for DROPZ and for each drop story, using practical voice rules and examples, so quality stays consistent even when timelines are tight and inputs are messy.
- Develop repeatable frameworks like recurring formats, editorial templates, and a brand glossary, then apply them to ship faster across emails, site content, and editorial outputs without lowering the writing bar.
- Draft email copy and landing page narratives that balance hype with clarity, aligning each message to the drop truth and a specific action, while avoiding over explanation and keeping every line purposeful.
- Conduct lightweight research for each story, including creator context, references, and cultural cues, then document sources and reasoning in clean internal notes so reviews are faster and decisions are easier to align on.
- Collaborate closely with Content Strategy on briefs, outlines, and revision cycles, taking feedback seriously and improving drafts quickly while protecting the core idea and raising quality with each round.
- Proofread and self edit with a high standard by checking tone consistency, factual accuracy, naming, readability, and flow, delivering clean final docs that reduce downstream corrections and protect brand trust.
- Support rapid turnaround needs during drop weeks by prioritizing, reworking copy fast when inputs change, and keeping stakeholders updated, so launches stay smooth without compromising voice or accuracy.
- Track what performs by reviewing basic signals like engagement, clicks, saves, or replies, then convert learnings into sharper hooks and better structure so your writing evolves with the audience over time.
Who You Are
- You have 12 to 24 months of writing experience in brand, editorial, content, or community, and you can share samples that show structure, clarity, and taste across more than one format.
- You can write long and mid form content with strong narrative flow, and you know how to keep readers moving from hook to insight to payoff without losing the product truth.
- You care about culture, storytelling, and craft, and you bring startup readiness with ownership, pace, and accountability, building a positive team culture in a 0 to 100 environment.
- You can translate a brief into an outline and a draft with minimal handholding, and you ask sharp questions early so execution stays fast, aligned, and revision cycles do not spiral.
- You understand how to write across the funnel, adapting tone and structure for editorial, landing pages, and email, while keeping a consistent voice and a clear objective for each piece.
- You collaborate well with Content Strategy, Product, and Merch, and you can explain your choices with reasoning while staying open to feedback, iteration, and better ideas from the team.
- You have a strong self editing habit, catching awkward phrasing, repetition, unclear claims, and logic gaps before review, and you are careful with details like naming and product facts.
- You can turn complex product inputs into simple benefits without dumbing it down, keeping the writing premium and specific instead of over hyped, vague, or templated.
- You are organized with versions, deadlines, and reviews, and you keep work visible through clean docs, clear notes, and predictable delivery that stakeholders can rely on.
- You can handle high speed cycles during drop moments without losing quality, staying calm under pressure and protecting clarity when timelines and inputs change.
- You want to grow long term with a team building something rare, and you are motivated by impact over comfort, with the discipline to keep improving your craft every week.
