About the role
We're looking for an earnest and proficient mid-senior level Content Writer and Editor to help generate high-quality original content for multiple storytelling platforms - from blog posts, newsletters, case studies and advertorial material to press releases and social media captions. It's a strategic role and the ideal candidate will be a sharp communicator, with a good grasp of language as well as structured writing and editing styles. The willingness to keep a tab on trending news and a knack for visual content is a plus! The aim is to transform daily ideas into engaging and accessible content, while maintaining brand voice and editorial excellence.
Key responsibilities
Content creation: Write high-quality content - including blogs, press notes, articles, Q&As, reports, scripts, social media copy, newsletters, website content and more.
Editing and proofreading: Edit for clarity, grammar, flow, accuracy and brand consistency across all channels.
Content strategy support: Contribute to editorial planning, content calendars, and crisis messaging, among other narratives.
Research and fact-checking: Conduct thorough research to ensure credibility and depth in all written materials.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the digital marketing, SEO and IT teams to shape content, UX and UI that align with overall business goals.
Voice and tone governance: Maintain and evolve the brand voice; ensure consistent storytelling across channels.
Project management: Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Analytics awareness: Understand performance metrics and use insights to refine content strategies.
Design sense: Have some working knowledge of Canva/Photoshop or any other graphic design platforms.
Required qualifications
5-6 years of professional writing and editing experience.
Experience with content management systems (CMS).
Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across formats.
Excellent command of English, with exceptional grammar, structure and storytelling skills.
Experience in editorial planning and managing content workflows.
Ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences.
Familiarity with SEO principles and digital publishing best practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Experience working in fast-paced environments or with cross-functional teams.
Preferred skills
Background in journalism, communications, marketing or related fields.
Understanding of brand strategy and creative direction.
Basic knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Semrush, CRM and social insights, etc.)
Ability to ideate and pitch fresh content concepts
