Job Description

JD - Content Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Strategy & Planning

o Build monthly and weekly content calendars across categories (fashion,

beauty, electronics, home, lifestyle, etc.).

o Develop content frameworks for short videos, long-form, live streams,

editorial-style content, and creator integrations.

o Identify content opportunities around product launches, seasonal events, and

sales periods.

o Conceptualize shows, formats, and storytelling structures that improve

engagement and retention.

2. Creative Development

o Write content briefs, narratives, storyboards, and hooks for creators and

hosts.

o Define visual style, tone, and messaging across various content formats.

o Ensure brand consistency while supporting creative experimentation.

o Develop innovative concepts for engagement (polls, challenges, games,

insights, comparisons, workshops).

3. Collaboration With Creators & Production

o Work closely with creators, hosts, DOPs, editors, and stylists to translate

strategy into on-ground execution.

o Guide creators on best practices for product demos, reviews, tutorials, and

live-show flow.

o Provide real-time creative direction during shoots and live sessions when

required.

4. Performance & Insights

o Analyse content performance: views, watch-time, engagement rate,

comments, retention, click-through, and conversion.

o Conduct category deep-dives to identify what is working and what needs

improvement.

o Suggest data-backed improvements to scripts, content formats, and creative

messaging.

o Experiment with new formats and platforms based on trends and audience

behavior.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

o Work with category, merchandising, SEO, and marketing teams to align

content with business priorities.

o Build product-based content strategies (comparisons, explainers, top picks,

gifting, UGC-style content).

o Align closely with design, video editing, and production for seamless

execution.

Required Skills

o Strong understanding of digital content, social media platforms, and short-

video trends.

o Proficiency in writing scripts, content briefs, hooks, and narrative structures.

o Ability to conceptualize fresh content formats and simplify complex product

information.

o Strong analytical mindset with comfort working on dashboards and content

metrics.

o High creativity combined with structured thinking.

o Ability to guide creators/hosts and collaborate with production teams.

o Familiarity with live commerce or creator economy is a plus.

Experience Required

o 36 years experience in content strategy, social media, creator/content

marketing, digital storytelling, or video-first content roles.

o Experience working with creators, agencies, or production houses is

preferred.
