Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're a small, sharp team building social media content for organizations in India and the UK. We're looking for a Content Strategist to join us and support our team on project delivery. We'd like to onboard someone who can distinguish a great piece of content from a mediocre one in the first five seconds, and has the instincts to make creative output better every single time. You'll plan, you'll brief designers and editors, and you'll own the quality of what goes out, even if it means rolling up your sleeves and diving into the execution bit yourself. If that excites you, read on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Plan content calendars across brands. You'll be expected to deliver creative social media content within structured timelines.
  • Put together references for brand shoots. You should be adept at recognising what kind of content will be a fit for which brand, and put together references for content we want to get shot by their teams. Pinterest and Instagram are going to be your best friends.
  • Review and upgrade creative outputs. The first draft is almost never perfect, so we need someone who knows when to push the quality of creative outputs and also improve the quality of the first drafts themselves over a period of time.
  • Work closely with our designer/video editor. This will involve writing good briefs, compiling apt references, and staying in the loop to ensure the final output reflects the brand strategy.
  • Canva designing. Our designer and editor are shared resources across projects so you'll often be expected to whip up pitch decks, stories, and other social media designs. So, if rolling up your sleeves and executing seems frustrating, this is probably not the right role for you.
  • Use AI tools smartly to move faster and produce more without compromising on quality.

NON-NEGOTIABLES

  • Good content taste. You can look at a reel and instantly know what's working, what's not, and what would make it even better.
  • Visual eye and eye for detail. You notice the wrong font weight, the awkward crop, and the caption that doesn't land. Small errors bother the fuck out of you.
  • Good communication skills. When something comes back from a designer or editor, you can clearly articulate how to make it better with a clear note, not a vague this isn't right or something feels off.
  • Prior Canva experience. Unfamiliarity with Canva is a no-go for us unfortunately.

GOOD TO HAVE:

  • Prior experience working at a 0-1 startup where processes are not yet fully structured
  • Creative writing skills that stand out in this age of AI slop and machine-generated jargon.
  • Experience with photo/video shoots

This position will be well suited for someone who is Bengaluru based, has 1-2 years of experience, and is willing to travel for work when required.

The annual compensation for this opportunity is INR 4,50,000 to INR 5,50,000 (n hand) - depending on skills, experiences, and interview performance.
