Position Overview
We're looking for a strategic, audience-first Content Strategist to lead content planning, creation, and optimization across channels. You'll own the content roadmap, align storytelling with business goals, and use data to drive growth. The ideal candidate blends creative thinking with SEO, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote-first setup.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Planning
- Define and own the content strategy aligned with brand, product, and growth goals.
- Build quarterly content roadmaps and editorial calendars.
- Conduct audience research and develop content pillars, themes, and messaging frameworks.
2. SEO, Performance & Growth
- Drive SEO strategy: keyword research, content briefs, on-page optimization, internal linking.
- Partner with Performance Marketing to support content for acquisition and conversion.
- Track performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush; iterate based on data.
3. Content Production & Governance
- Create and edit high-quality content: blogs, landing pages, case studies, whitepapers, emails, social posts.
- Maintain content standards, voice, tone, and brand guidelines.
- Manage freelancers/agencies; review and approve deliverables.
4. Product & Lifecycle Content
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to develop product-led content, onboarding guides, help docs, and lifecycle campaigns.
- Build content for different funnel stages (TOFU/MOFU/BOFU).
- Support launches with messaging, release notes, and enablement content.
5. Distribution, Repurposing & Ops
- Plan content distribution across owned, earned, and paid channels.
- Repurpose long-form content into social posts, newsletters, videos, and sales enablement assets.
- Set up content workflows, documentation, and approvals in collaboration tools.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
- 37+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or editorial roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills (B2B/B2C/SaaS preferred).
- Proven SEO experience and content performance optimization.
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow).
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration.
Modern Skills
- Data-driven content planning using GA4 and content attribution models.
- Experience with content experimentation (A/B testing headlines, CTAs, formats).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows (for ideation, briefs, optimization).
- Understanding of topic clusters, EEAT, and helpful content updates.
- Experience building content ops systems and scalable editorial processes.
