Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Content Marketing Specialist to fully own content creation and distribution at Sharpsell.ai. With 5+ years of dedicated experience in B2B SaaS, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that drives brand awareness, generates leads, and supports our sales efforts. This role requires a proven ability to create compelling, data-driven content across various formats and ensure its maximum reach and impact within the B2B tech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and own Sharpsell.ai's overall content marketing strategy, aligning with business objectives, target audience needs, and the B2B SaaS buyer journey.
- Conduct thorough keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience persona development to identify content opportunities and gaps.
- Create and manage a comprehensive content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality, relevant content.
Content Creation & Development:
- Produce engaging and insightful long-form content, including whitepapers, e-books, industry reports, and detailed guides, demonstrating thought leadership.
- Write compelling blog posts, articles, and website copy optimized for SEO and audience engagement.
- Develop persuasive case studies and customer success stories that highlight our value proposition and ROI.
- Craft effective email marketing copy, social media posts, and ad copy to support campaigns.
- Collaborate with product and sales teams to create product marketing materials, sales collateral, and presentation decks.
- Develop scripts and storyboards for video content, webinars, and podcasts.
Content Distribution & Promotion:
- Execute multi-channel content distribution strategies, leveraging our website, blog, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter), email marketing, and relevant industry channels.
- Work with PR and partnership teams to explore syndication opportunities and amplify content reach.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve organic visibility and drive qualified traffic.
- Experiment with new distribution channels and promotional tactics to expand our audience.
Performance Analysis & Optimization:
- Track, measure, and analyze content performance metrics (e.g., website traffic, engagement, lead generation, conversions) using analytics tools.
- Provide regular reports on content effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders.
- Iterate and optimize content strategy and individual pieces based on performance data and market feedback.
Brand Voice & Governance:
- Ensure all content adheres to Sharpsell.ai's brand voice, messaging, and style guidelines.
- Maintain high editorial standards for accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all content.
Required Qualification:
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in content marketing, specifically within the B2B SaaS industry.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating successful content initiatives (e.g., published articles, whitepapers, case studies, campaign examples).
- Writing & Editing: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to craft compelling narratives for a B2B audience.
- B2B SaaS Acumen: Deep understanding of the B2B sales cycle, buyer personas, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the SaaS landscape.
- SEO Expertise: Proven experience with SEO best practices, keyword research tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush), and on-page optimization.
- Tools: Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
