Behind every product on Zwende is a person - a painter, a weaver, a craftsman- whose craft and story deserve to be seen, not just sold. Content is how we make that visible, at scale, to a global audience.

Our content works across three fronts, and this role owns all of them:

• Organic storytelling: Instagram-first narratives that spotlight artisans, process, and product - building the Zwende brand and community.
• Ad content & video scripts: performance-driven creative and scripts that convert interest into purchase.
• Influencer & creator content: partnerships with creators that extend Zwende's reach into new audiences and communities.

About the Role

This is a senior, ownership-heavy Content Lead role for someone who can move fluidly between craft storytelling, sharp ad copy, and influencer strategy.

You'll own Zwende's end-to-end content engine - from organic social to ad creative and video scripts to a growing roster of influencer and creator partnerships. You'll work closely with the founders and growth team to make sure every piece of content, whether a reel, a script, or a creator brief, ladders up to brand and revenue goals.

This is a builder's role: you'll set the content strategy, not just execute someone else's brief.

The Six Qualities That Matter Most for This Role

1. Strategic content instinct: You think in funnels as much as hooks - what drives organic reach vs. what drives conversion vs. what builds a creator relationship - and know when to reach for which.
2. Scriptwriting & ad craft: You can write a video script or ad concept that a small production team can execute, and you know what makes performance creative actually perform.
3. Influencer & creator fluency: You understand creator economics, know how to source, brief, and manage creator relationships, and can turn a single partnership into a repeatable content stream.
4. Deep respect for craft & storytelling: You don't need to be a craft expert on day one, but you're genuinely curious about artisans stories and can translate that into content that feels authentic, not extractive.
5. Data-informed iteration: You track what's working across formats and channels, and adjust strategy based on performance, not instinct alone.
6. Cross-functional operator: You work fluidly with founders, design, video editors, and the growth team to keep the content engine moving without friction.

What This Role Involves

• Content strategy & calendar ownership: Define and manage Zwende's content strategy and calendar across organic, paid, and influencer channels.
• Organic content: Own Instagram-first storytelling - reels, carousels, and narratives spotlighting artisans, products, and the Zwende mission.
• Ad content & video scripts: Write and brief video scripts and ad concepts for performance campaigns, working with design/video partners on execution.
• Influencer content strategy: Build and manage a creator/influencer pipeline - sourcing, briefing, negotiating, and turning partnerships into ongoing content.
• Brand voice: Maintain a consistent Zwende voice and visual language across every channel and format.
• Performance analysis: Track what's working across organic, paid, and influencer content, and iterate based on reach, engagement, and conversion.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with the founders and growth team on campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives.

Who You Are

• 3–6 years of experience in content strategy, brand marketing, or social/influencer marketing - ideally at a D2C brand, marketplace, consumer startup or at an ad agency. 
• A track record of writing scripts or ad concepts that have actually run in campaigns.
• Experience working with influencers/creators - sourcing, negotiating, briefing.
• A strong writer with range - long-form storytelling, punchy ad copy, and social-native scripts.
• Comfortable with data (reach, engagement, CVR) and uses it to guide content decisions.
• Bonus: experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or craft/lifestyle/D2C brands and advertising.

• You're not genuinely interested in the craft or creative economy space.

Compensation: 15 - 18 LPA (Depending on experience) + ESOPs
