Job Description

We are seeking a Content & Event Specialist to develop engaging and informative content for various platforms while also managing high-profile event opportunities. You will be responsible for creating compelling copy for client-facing materials, overseeing event promotions, and aligning content with overall communication strategies. This role requires proven experience in content creation and event planning, strong writing and communication skills, and knowledge of digital marketing trends.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Strategy: Develop engaging and informative content for articles, press releases, blogs, social media, and internal communications related to events and conferences. Work closely with the PR and marketing teams to align content with overall communication strategies. Write compelling copy for client-facing materials such as event invites, reports, and brochures. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant insights into content creation. Analyze content performance, making data-driven recommendations for future content.
  • Event/Conference Management: Identify high-profile event opportunities, conferences, and seminars for clients, from event participation to post-event coverage. Oversee event promotions and communications through multiple platforms.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in content creation, event planning, and conference management in a PR or communications setting.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing trends, including social media platforms and content distribution.
  • Familiarity with content management and event management tools/systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO and other digital content optimization techniques is preferred.
  • A proactive and creative problem-solver with a strong client-centric focus.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. Candidates with a degree in Communication, BMM in Journalism, postgraduate in Mass Media, BA in Communication, or an honors degree in English will be an add-on.
