Experience: 5-7 years
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer with a strong background in SQL and expertise in building and
optimizing Tableau dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing efficient data
models, creating interactive visualizations, and working with incremental data extraction methodologies. As a Tableau Developer
in our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that cater to business needs and enhance data-driven
decision-making.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data engineers to understand requirements and
translate them into effective visualizations.
Create complex calculated fields, sets, groups, parameters, and hierarchies in Tableau to support various business use
cases.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation from various data sources.
Implement incremental data extraction techniques to ensure efficient processing of large datasets and minimize data
transfer overhead.
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of visualizations.
Monitor and troubleshoot tableau dashboards, addressing performance issues and optimizing query performance.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends in Tableau, data visualization, and SQL to bring innovative solutions to the
team.
Expertise And Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-7 years of professional experience as a Tableau Developer, with a strong emphasis on SQL and data extraction
methodologies.
Proven experience in designing and developing interactive Tableau dashboards showcasing complex visualizations.
In-depth understanding of SQL and experience in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with
large datasets.
Proficiency in incremental data extraction techniques and ability to implement efficient strategies for handling large
volumes of data.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Expertise
Should have worked on Incremental extracts.
Good architectural knowledge of how incremental extracts work under the hood.
Good SQL skills.
Good experience with building KPI dashboards.
Good experience with Blending and joining multiple data sources.
Good knowledge of filters and its internal working
Understanding of row-based securities.
Understanding of Tableau Views
Experience on resolving performance issues.
