Role accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain dynamic financial models to support business planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making.
- Analyse potential business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, using financial modelling techniques to assess feasibility and financial impact.
- Develop forecasting models to predict revenue, costs, profitability, and cash flow trends. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against projections and identify key drivers
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to evaluate risks and opportunities under different economic conditions, identifying potential financial risks and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with finance, strategy, and operations teams to gather accurate data, validate key assumptions, and ensure the reliability of financial models.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership, supporting data-driven strategic decisions and long-term planning.
- Leverage financial modelling software, automation tools, and data visualization techniques to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of financial data
- Ensure financial models adhere to industry standards and best practices, maintaining accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
Desired Knowledge & Experience:
- Two years + business experience, ideally in a consulting environment.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including experience with valuation, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced level) and experience with financial modeling software/tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Commerce or Finance, preferably with a background in the Engineering or Infrastructure sectors.
