About The Opportunity
Healthcare Nephrology & Renal Care sector serving tertiary and multi-specialty hospital settings. We deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient kidney care, dialysis services, and peri/posttransplant management across high-volume clinical pathways. Position: Consultant Nephrologist (on-site, India).
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient nephrology care, including assessment and management of AKI, CKD, electrolyte disorders, and multisystem complications.
- Lead and oversee dialysis services: perform/coordinate hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis rounds, prescribe dialysis regimens, and optimise individualised treatment plans.
- Perform specialty procedures: ultrasound-guided kidney biopsy and procedural management; coordinate CRRT and plasmapheresis for critically ill patients.
- Manage pre- and post-renal transplant patients in collaboration with transplant surgeonsmonitor immunosuppression, rejection surveillance and long-term follow-up.
- Drive clinical governance for the dialysis unit: implement protocols, ensure infection control, audit outcomes, and support vascular access care pathways.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (intensivists, surgeons, nephrology nursing, lab services) and contribute to teaching, case reviews, and clinical quality improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DM / DNB in Nephrology or equivalent specialist qualification.
- Registration with Medical Council of India / relevant State Medical Council and valid clinical privileges to practice in India.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis management.
- Experience with CRRT and therapeutic plasma exchange (plasmapheresis).
- Competence in ultrasound-guided renal biopsy and management of biopsy-related care.
- Ability to lead dialysis unit workflows, clinical audits and patient-safety initiatives.
Preferred
- Experience in renal transplant follow-up and immunosuppression protocols.
- Certification or demonstrable skill in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for renal/vascular procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and dialysis management software.
