Inviting applications for the role of Consultant, BusinessAnalyst!

The duties are those of a Policy Administration / Contract configuration specialist for Specialty Insurance who manages the full lifecycle of complex, nonstandard policies within our client's core insurance management system (IMS). The role ensures accurate processing of submissions, binds, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations for specialty lines such as cyber, professional liability, marine, E&O, D&O, environmental, and other niche products.

Because specialty insurance involves document endorsements, negotiated terms, and nonadmitted regulatory requirements, the position requires strong attention to detail, deep product understanding, and close collaboration with underwriting, compliance, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document functional and technical requirements related to P&C insurance operations.

  • Provide post-deployment support and troubleshooting assistance to address any issues or anomalies encountered during system implementation.

  • Define system architecture, data schemas, and integration patterns to ensure seamless communication between various components and external systems.

  • Evaluate third-party software solutions and APIs for potential integration with existing systems, assessing compatibility and suitability for the organization%27s needs.

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user manuals, to facilitate system maintenance and knowledge transfer.

  • Review code to ensure adherence to architectural standards, coding conventions, troubleshoot and security protocols.

  • Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate system functionality and performance.

  • Collaborate with development teams to provide technical guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Serve as a primary support contact for IMS-related application issues across multiple business units.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to understand insurance workflows and translate them into system functionalities.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot IMS applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.

  • Analyze and resolve system incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

  • Liaise with vendors and IT partners for resolution of issues related to third-party IMS components.

  • Assist in system upgrades, patches, configuration, and deployment of new features.

  • Document system functionalities, technical configurations, workflows, and known issue resolutions.

  • Participate in testing cycles-unit, integration, and user acceptance-to validate system changes.

  • Provide training and guidance to users on system functionality and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and data security requirements for insurance operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • BE/ B Tech/ MCA

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles

  • Troubleshooting Skills

  • Hands-on experience developing applications on Microsoft Azure, including cloud-based architecture and services.

  • Strong domain knowledge of insurance operations (Life, Health, or P&C insurance).

  • Experience working with IMS platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, CSC/Exceed, or other core insurance systems).

  • Familiarity with claims processing, policy lifecycle, endorsements, and renewals.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data queries, reporting, and debugging.

  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
