Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Provide care for patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), High Dependency Unit (HDU), or other departments as required.
- Participate in the Intensive Care Medicine roster in coordination with the Director of Intensive Care.
- Provide anesthesia services for assigned operating lists.
- Provide consultative services across hospital departments as required.
- Provide expertise in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, operative surgical lists (as appropriate), and on-call duties.
Specialized Procedures:
- Experience with ECLS, heart/lung transplant is desirable but not mandatory.
- Provide staff training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in liaison with the CPR Committee and Teaching Centre.
Teaching & Training:
- Organize and participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
- Conduct training and conferences for medical, nursing, and other staff.
- Update knowledge on educational, technological, and service advances.
Research & Administration:
- Engage in research, audit, and liaison with university departments or research centers.
- Participate in administration of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine, Division of Anaesthesia, and hospital-wide administration.
- Contribute to policy formulation, emergency duty rosters, and departmental planning.
