Our product suite includes Auriga for conversational AI, Collatio for document intelligence, and Concentio for cognitive IoT and operational intelligence. These platforms help clients convert complex, fragmented data into actionable enterprise intelligence.

We are looking for a Construction Subject Matter Expert (SME) to bring deep domain expertise in construction workflows, documentation, and operations to support the development of AI-driven solutions. This role will play a key part in shaping how construction data is structured, interpreted, and automated across use cases such as financial reconciliation, document processing, and project intelligence.

Role Overview

As a Construction SME at Scry AI, you will work closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate real-world construction processes into intelligent AI workflows. You will help define data structures, validate outputs, and ensure that our solutions accurately reflect industry practices across procurement, billing, contracts, and project execution.

This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in construction who is interested in applying their domain knowledge to build next-generation AI products.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Workflow & Process Expertise

  • Define and document end-to-end construction workflows, including procurement, billing, project execution, and vendor management
  • Provide detailed insights into documents such as BOQs, invoices, purchase orders, GRNs, contracts, and site reports
  • Help map real-world construction processes into structured, AI-readable formats

Data Structuring & AI Model Support

  • Work with data and product teams to define key fields, relationships, and validation rules across construction documents
  • Assist in training and refining AI models by reviewing extracted data and identifying gaps or inconsistencies
  • Ensure accurate mapping of construction data into standardized formats such as charts of accounts and cost structures

Financial & Document Reconciliation

  • Support use cases involving multi-document reconciliation across invoices, purchase orders, GRNs, and contracts
  • Identify common discrepancies, cost leakages, and reconciliation challenges in construction projects
  • Define logic for validating payments, quantities, rates, and contractual terms

Product Development & Validation

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design features aligned with construction industry needs
  • Test and validate AI outputs to ensure accuracy, traceability, and usability
  • Provide continuous feedback to improve product performance and domain alignment

Stakeholder Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and customer success
  • Support client discussions by providing domain expertise and use case insights
  • Create documentation, training materials, and best practices for construction-related workflows

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 410 years of experience in construction operations, project management, quantity surveying, or procurement
  • Strong understanding of construction documents such as BOQs, invoices, contracts, and billing structures
  • Experience with project costing, vendor management, and financial workflows in construction
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, project management tools, or construction software is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Has deep hands-on experience in construction projects and understands ground-level workflows
  • Is detail-oriented and comfortable working with complex documents and data
  • Can bridge the gap between domain expertise and technology
  • Enjoys solving real-world problems using structured, data-driven approaches
  • Is curious about AI and motivated to contribute to building intelligent enterprise solutions
