Position Title:Construction Manager Road Project
Location: Beirut - Liberia
Role Purpose
The Construction Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of road and highway construction works, ensuring that all activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications, road authority requirements, and company policies. He represents the company with clients, consultants, and authorities and leads all site teams to successful project delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and supervise all construction activities related to road projects, including earthworks, sub-base, base course, asphalt works, drainage, and road furniture.
- Lead and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate construction sequencing with planning engineers, asphalt plant operations, quarries, and logistics teams.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and road authority standards.
- Monitor progress, productivity, and costs, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Enforce HSE standards and ensure safe working practices across all road activities.
- Review and approve work programs, resource allocation, and equipment deployment.
- Manage interfaces with clients, consultants, government bodies, and utility authorities.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record keeping in line with contractual requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in road and highway construction projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale road works, including asphalt paving and earthworks.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
- Sound knowledge of road specifications, quality control, and HSE requirements.
- Experience working with consultants and road authorities.
- Ability to work in challenging environments and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
