Construction Manager Mumbai
M Moser Associates, a global leader in workplace design and build, is expanding our team in India. We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our Mumbai office to support the successful delivery of workplace interior projects.
The role focuses primarily on site management, construction coordination, and quality execution, working closely with the internal project team and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee construction site activities for workplace interior fit-out projects.
- Coordinate site activities and ensure all disciplines involved in construction are aligned with project requirements.
- Oversee on-site construction works and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Work closely with internal teams including design, contracts, and project management to ensure smooth site execution.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure proper workmanship and timely completion of work.
- Monitor construction progress and report site updates to the project team.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues during project execution.
- Liaise with third-party consultants such as architects, engineers, and other specialists involved in the project.
- Attend site coordination meetings and progress meetings with consultants and contractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work is carried out according to drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and site management requirements.
- Manage site documentation, inspections, and support project close-out activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Interior Construction, or related field.
- 68 years of experience managing construction sites, preferably in commercial interiors or workplace projects.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and detailing.
- Experience coordinating interior works with MEP services.
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong site management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and site activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills.
