Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy construction projects, including solar, wind, and other sustainable infrastructure developments. The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including engineers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project owners.

Location - Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution
  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of renewable construction projects, from site preparation to commissioning.
  • Develop and monitor construction schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to project design, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Supervise site teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and compliance.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, procurement, HSE, and quality control teams.
  • Provide mentorship and training to site personnel on best practices in renewable energy construction.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
  • Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety and sustainability on-site.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory authorities, and project partners.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage permitting, inspections, and compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Financial & Risk Management
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or overruns.
  • Support procurement activities and vendor negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of construction management experience, with at least 3+ years in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, biomass, or hydro).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, renewable technologies, and project management practices.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project delivery.
  • Knowledge of international standards (ISO, IEC, OSHA, etc.).
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of grid connection processes and renewable project commissioning.
