Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer / Contracts Manager responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of contracts across construction, real estate development, and infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing contract administration from pre-award to project close-out, ensuring contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and effective dispute management while safeguarding the company's commercial interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract management for building, real estate, and infrastructure projects from pre-award through project completion.
- Review, draft, and negotiate construction and consultancy agreements under standard contract forms such as FIDIC, NEC, and JCT.
- Administer and evaluate variations, claims, Extension of Time (EOT), and delay analysis in accordance with contract provisions.
- Ensure strict compliance with contractual notice requirements and documentation procedures.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, including potential exposure to liquidated damages.
- Support the resolution of contractual disputes and claims through negotiation and structured dispute resolution processes.
- Work closely with project management, commercial, planning, and legal teams to protect organizational interests.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BE/B.Tech Civil)
- Additional degree or certification in Contractual Law preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration
- Expertise in FIDIC, NEC, and JCT contract frameworks
- Experience in claims management, delay analysis, and EOT evaluation
- Excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Understanding of construction law, risk assessment, and scheduling practices
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
