Description
Connected Vehicle Engineer to design, develop, and integrate connected vehicle technologies that enable seamless communication between vehicles, cloud platforms, and external ecosystems. The role focuses on telematics, vehicle networking, cloud integration, cybersecurity, and data-driven mobility solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in embedded systems, automotive communication protocols, and cloud-based connected services within an OEM, Tier-1, or mobility technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate connected vehicle solutions including telematics control units (TCU), V2X, and infotainment systems.
- Design and implement vehicle-to-cloud communication architectures.
- Work on OTA (Over-the-Air) update frameworks and remote diagnostics systems.
- Ensure secure data transmission and compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).
- Integrate APIs and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for connected services.
- Collaborate with software, cybersecurity, systems, and validation teams.
- Support end-to-end testing including vehicle-level validation and field trials.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize connectivity solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with telematics, V2X, and IoT architectures.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ or Python.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred).
- Understanding of cybersecurity and secure communication frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4 - 10 years of experience in connected mobility or automotive software development.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR and Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture.
- Exposure to ADAS or EV systems is an advantage.
