Job Description

Job locations : Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore and Coimbatore

Service asset and configuration management will ensure that assets required to deliver services are properly controlled, and accurate and reliable information about those assets is available when and where it is needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as a focal point for all configuration management tasks / activities to be executed
  • Develop configuration management plans, milestones and schedules for projects
  • Identify configuration items, implement change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audit
  • Participate in design and change reviews to enforce and ensure adherence to configuration procedures.
  • Evaluate existing system configurations and recommend changes to improve or enhance performance and maintainability
  • Conduct CMDB audits to ensure all configuration policies and procedures are being followed and adhered
  • Perform configuration status accounting on configuration data and tract the configuration status on a continuous basis
  • Assist in configuration audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Generate and publish configuration management reports including impact analysis reports and Configuration status reports
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by interacting with various teams and recommend improvements for configuration management

Required Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working as configuration manager
  • Should possess good understanding of ITIL® V3 OR ITIL4 service lifecycle modules
  • Should have strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Lead role while acting as a liaison with internal/external customers

Skills Required

  • Strong IT service management skills
  • Should have exposure to ITSM ticketing tools i.e ServiceNow, Cherwell, Symphony Summit etc.
  • Good interpersonal, organization and customer services skills
  • Experience of working within Change, Configuration or Release in a demanding and complex environment.

Professional Certifications

  • ITIL® Intermediate OR Expert Certified
  • Certification on market leading ITSM ticketing tools would be preferred

Evaluation Criteria

  • Prior experience in IT service management roles, service transition processes
  • Knowledge of ITIL® best practices
  • Communication skills
  • Client facing role and collaboration
