About the Role
We are looking for an organized individual to join us as a Conference Coordinator Intern. This is a unique opportunity to plan, organize and execute a scientific conference from scratch — gaining hands-on experience in event management within the scientific publishing world.
Please Note: This is a completely unpaid internship. No stipend or financial compensation will be provided.
What You Will Do
Plan and coordinate a scientific conference end-to-end
Identify and invite keynote speakers and scientific committees
Manage abstract submissions and review process
Handle registrations, attendees and event schedule
Promote the conference across social media platforms
Coordinate with internal teams for design and content
Manage virtual/hybrid event platforms
Essential
Record of organizing events independently
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Preferred
Experience in scientific or academic event management
Familiarity with virtual/hybrid event platforms
Background in Science, Mass Communication, Event Management or Business Administration
Social media promotion experience
