Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Concept Development:

  • Ideate and develop concepts for radio shows, segments, promos, and marketing campaigns.
  • Translate briefs into original, audience-relevant ideas and scripts.
  • Collaborate with RJs, producers, sound designers, and marketing teams to bring concepts to life.

Scriptwriting & Storytelling:

  • Write compelling scripts for daily radio content, station imaging, show promos, and branded content.
  • Ensure content is fresh, engaging, and aligned with station branding and listener demographics.
  • Maintain a consistent storytelling tone that resonates with the target audience.

Brand & Client Campaigns:

  • Conceptualize creative solutions for client briefs, including branded content, integrations, and on-air contests.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to pitch and execute client-driven ideas.
  • Adapt brand messaging to the radio medium in a way that is both entertaining and effective.

Innovation & Research:

  • Stay updated on radio and digital audio trends, pop culture, and audience preferences.
  • Regularly brainstorm new formats, content strategies, and listener engagement ideas.
  • Experiment with audio storytelling techniques, voice, sound, and format.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong creative thinking and ideation skills.
  • Excellent command of language (English/Hindi/Regional, as per station).
  • Scriptwriting expertise, especially for audio.
  • Understanding of radio audience behavior and programming.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Media, Advertising, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in radio, advertising, or audio content creation (can vary based on role level).
  • Portfolio of creative work (scripts, audio links, campaign samples) is often required.
