Role Overview

We're hiring a Computational Design & Data Integration Engineer to join our computational team focused on AEC workflows. You'll create integrations using Workato to connect platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and other AEC tools. You'll also build web-based dashboards using JavaScript and Power BI, and automate tasks using Python.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain automated data pipelines across Autodesk platforms and third-party tools using integration/automation platforms like Workato, n8n, Power Automate, Zapier, etc.

Develop robust, data-rich front-end web applications using JavaScript to visualize and interact with construction or design data.

Use Python to script automation workflows, handle REST API interactions, and clean/transform platform data.

Deliver Power BI dashboards to enable better project tracking, quality assurance, and digital insights.

Collaborate with architects, BIM leads, and design technology teams to understand practical problems and prototype technical solutions.

Use GitHub to manage source control, contributions, and workflow documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3 to 4 years of experience in AEC, design technology, or software roles involving automation or visualization.

Strong proficiency in workflow automation platforms like Workato, n8n, Power Automate, Zapier, or similar.

Solid experience in JavaScript and front-end development.

Proficient in Python scripting, especially for APIs and workflow automation.

Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard creation.

Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and structured data formats (JSON, XML).

Version control knowledge using GitHub.

Bonus / Desirable Skills

Experience with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, or ACC APIs.

Knowledge of C#/.NET for custom tool/plugin development in Revit or Navisworks.

Experience with computational design or BIM automation workflows.

Familiarity with 3D model data handling or geometry processing.
