Role Objective
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with experience in composite materials to join our team. As a Composite Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the composite manufacturing process of our drone systems as well as taking part in R&D activities, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes that optimize production while reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Develop and implement Composite manufacturing processes for drone systems and sub systems,
- Work with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturability
- Create and be the custodian of process flows, route cards, and BOM
- Design and oversee the fabrication of tooling and molds for composite (Carbon Fiber/FRP) component manufacturing
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the consistency and reliability of the drones
- Work with suppliers to select and source materials and equipment's for manufacturing
- Optimize production processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering with min 2-year exp working with composite materials.
Skills And Abilities (Must Have's)
- Strong knowledge of composite materials, including layup, curing, and finishing techniques
- Experience with CAD software and design for manufacturability
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to composite manufacturing
Skills And Abilities (Good Have's)
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization
- Experience with automated composite manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 quality standards

Working Conditions
