Job Description

  • Supports day-to-day execution of general ledger processes and assists clients with understanding these processes.
  • Performs accounting functions such as account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
  • Coordinates Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property.
  • Complies with Federal and State laws regarding fraud and collection procedures.
  • Generates and provides accurate, timely reports and presentations.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data.
  • Balances credit card ledgers and verifies contracts for groups.
  • Performs credit reference checks for direct billed groups when necessary.
  • Achieves and exceeds goals, including performance, budget, and team goals.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Ensures timely submission of reports and ensures delivery deadlines are met.
  • Monitors taxes and ensures they are current, collected, or accrued.
  • Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
  • Completes period-end functions and ensures profits and losses are documented accurately.
  • Provides direction and assistance regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Uses computers and software to develop financial spreadsheets, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Applies new knowledge to job functions and ensures compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Provides information to supervisors and co-workers via telephone, email, or in person.
  • Demonstrates personal integrity and uses effective listening skills.
  • Manages group or interpersonal conflict effectively and communicates information in a concise manner.
  • Makes collections calls if necessary.
