Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating engineering efforts in the delivery of sand control completion products and services, with a focus on open hole and cased hole gravel pack completions. This role functions as a technical specialist, providing authoritative decisions and recommendations that have a far-reaching impact on engineering and operational activities across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
- Plan and oversee sand control completion projects, ensuring technical excellence in open hole gravel pack design and execution.
- Direct engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective completion solutions.
- Provide technical assurance during planning, installation, and post-job evaluation phases.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver engineering expertise and advisory services to external customers.
- Negotiate critical and complex technical issues with senior engineers, clients, and partner organizations.
- Present technical recommendations and project updates to senior management and external stakeholders.
Technical Delivery
- Develop and review completion designs, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Ensure integration of sand control technologies into completion strategies for diverse reservoir conditions.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and provide innovative solutions to optimize well performance.
Business Development & Commercial Support
- Support tendering, bid evaluation, and proposal development for sand control completion packages.
- Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and aligning technical solutions with client needs.
Team & Project Management
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical development.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure knowledge transfer across projects.
- Monitor project KPIs (cost, schedule, quality, safety) and implement corrective actions as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of oilfield service experience in completions, with proven expertise in sand control and gravel pack operations (open hole and cased hole).
- Demonstrated experience in business development and managing the work of others.
- Strong knowledge of completion tools, sand control technologies, and reservoir engineering principles.
