Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Company Secretary (CS) to join our Mumbai office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to gain hands-on exposure to corporate compliance, statutory governance, internal audit support, and legal coordination.

The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory adherence, maintaining structured compliance systems, and supporting the company's long-term governance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate & Secretarial Compliances

  • Manage end-to-end ROC/MCA filings and statutory submissions
  • Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and applicable corporate regulations
  • Draft and maintain board resolutions, meeting minutes, statutory registers, and corporate records
  • Coordinate with external consultants and regulatory authorities

2. Network & Statutory Governance

  • Monitor compliance across group entities and network companies
  • Maintain documentation related to governance frameworks
  • Track regulatory updates and assess business impact

3. Compliance Calendar & Regulatory Tracking

  • Develop and manage a structured compliance calendar
  • Track due dates, filings, approvals, and statutory requirements
  • Ensure timely reporting and zero non-compliance

Secondary Responsibility Internal Audit Support

The selected candidate will receive structured exposure to:

  • Internal audit documentation and process reviews
  • Compliance testing and risk assessments
  • Maintaining audit trails and governance records

Tertiary Responsibility Legal Function Support

  • Provide structured administrative support to the Legal team
  • Maintain contract records and documentation systems
  • Coordinate documentation related to regulatory and governance matters

This layered exposure will help build an integrated ComplianceAuditLegal framework within the organization.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the Companies Act and corporate governance principles
  • Knowledge of ROC/MCA filings and statutory compliance procedures
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Ability to independently manage compliance calendars and tracking systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proactive mindset with willingness to learn audit and legal processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Qualification

  • Qualified Company Secretary (CS)
  • Prior internship or practical exposure in corporate compliance preferred
