Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Commvault Certified Engineer (Pre-Sales) to lead both pre‑sales solution architecture and post‑sales technical delivery for complex enterprise data‑protection and cyber‑resiliency initiatives.

This individual will serve as a senior technical authority with deep expertise in Commvault Cyber Resiliency, Advanced Global Protection (AGP), Clean Room/Isolated Recovery architectures, and large‑scale enterprise backup strategies.

The role requires exceptional communication skills in French and English, strong customer‑facing leadership, and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre‑Sales Leadership

  • Lead technical discovery, requirement analysis, and architecture workshops with enterprise customers.
  • Develop high‑level and low‑level solution architectures incorporating:
  • Commvault Cyber Resiliency frameworks (immutability, threat protection, environment hardening).
  • AGP‑based global policy models for scale‑out governance.
  • Clean Room / Isolated Recovery strategies for cyber‑incident restoration.
  • Act as senior technical advisor during sales cycles, providing authoritative recommendations and risk assessments.
  • Produce enterprise‑grade design documents, presentations, and SOW scope definitions.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses with detailed architectural inputs and competitive positioning.
  • Mentor sales engineers and junior technical staff on Commvault best practices and architecture principles.

Post‑Sales Delivery Excellence

  • Lead complex deployments, integrations, and optimizations of Commvault solutions across multi‑site, hybrid, and enterprise environments.
  • Architect, build, and validate clean‑room recovery environments, including workflow orchestration, automation, and compliance controls.
  • Implement and tune AGP across large‑scale infrastructures to ensure governance, consistency, and resiliency.
  • Implementing solutions built on Commvault's HyperScale X™ technology into customer on-premises or hybrid infrastructure is a nice to have but is not required.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and environment remediation.
  • Conduct detailed operational readiness assessments, cyber‑resiliency health checks, and risk remediation engagements.
  • Deliver structured knowledge‑transfer sessions to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Oversee project execution quality, ensuring adherence to architecture, scope, and security standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Commvault Professional, Master, or Advanced certifications, with demonstrated senior‑level expertise preferred.
  • Minimum Commvault Services Associate certification.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience (3+ years) deploying and architecting Commvault solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Deep working knowledge of:
  • Commvault Cyber Resiliency (immutable storage, ransomware protection, security hardening).
  • Advanced Global Protection (AGP) and global policy design.
  • Clean Room / Isolated Recovery architecture and recovery processes following cyber‑events.
  • Strong architectural understanding of:
  • Multi‑cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • VMware, Proxmox and Hyper‑V
  • Enterprise storage architectures (SAN/NAS/Object)
  • Windows & Linux administration
  • Zero‑trust and cyber‑recovery principles
  • Proven leadership in customer engagements and ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Full professional fluency in French and English, written and spoken.

Preferred Experience

  • Senior‑level pre‑sales, architecture, or professional‑services experience in enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading customer workshops, executive briefings, and architecture review boards.
  • Strong documentation capabilities (HLD/LLD, runbooks, resiliency reports).
  • Familiarity with adjacent data‑protection tools (Veeam, NetBackup, Rubrik, Cohesity).
  • Experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or secure infrastructure design is highly advantageous.

Core Competencies

  • Executive‑level bilingual communication (French/English).
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to influence technical direction and decision‑making.
  • Leadership in multi‑team engagements and ability to drive consensus.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills in complex, large‑scale environments.
  • Professional, polished, and customer‑centric approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives concurrently.

Education

  • Post Secondary degree, or equivalent education (please provide details).
  • Advanced certifications in cloud, cybersecurity, or architecture are considered a strong asset.
