Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Outreach Planning & Implementation

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Identify and engage with underserved or target communities to raise awareness and promote services.
  • Organize community events, health camps, workshops, and awareness drives.
  • Maintain an active calendar of outreach activities.

2. Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local NGOs, schools, religious organizations, and government bodies.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, forums, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with partners to maximize the reach and impact of outreach efforts.

3. Communication & Promotion

  • Prepare promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
  • Manage community outreach-related content for social media and local media.
  • Collect stories, testimonials, and data to communicate program impact.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track attendance, engagement, and outcomes of outreach programs.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports detailing outreach activities and impact.
  • Conduct community needs assessments and feedback surveys.

5. Administrative & Logistical Support

  • Coordinate transport, materials, venue bookings, and volunteer support for events.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach engagements.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, safety standards, and cultural sensitivity in all outreach activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Communications, or a related field.
  • 24 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or program coordination.
  • Fluency in the local language(s) and English.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with marginalized or rural communities.
  • Familiarity with local government schemes and community dynamics.
  • NGO or public health project experience is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Event planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, social media).
