About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Community Lead - Developer to establish and grow a vibrant developer ecosystem for our innovative Orbit platform. This is a new, individual contributor role based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. You will be instrumental in solving the critical business challenge of low developer activation and conversion by owning the developer experience from onboarding through to product adoption and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a 1224 month DevRel and community strategy for the Orbit platform across embedded, IoT, and Edge AI developer segments.
- Build best-in-class onboarding journeys, starter kits, quickstarts, and zero-to-production reference implementations to reduce friction and accelerate time-to-first-sale (TTFS).
- Own end-to-end planning and execution of all developer events, including hackathons and meetups, designed as activation and conversion funnels with measurable outcomes.
- Act as the platform's most demanding first user by building real-world ESP32 and IoT projects, then converting them into tutorials, templates, and migration guides.
- Co-host events and build joint reference designs with silicon vendors and platform partners to use them as distribution multipliers.
- Systematically capture developer pain points, feature gaps, and monetization triggers to influence roadmap prioritization and drive power-user-to-enterprise conversion.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- 4-6 years of experience in developer relations, community building, or a related technical role.
- Strong understanding of Embedded Linux, Edge AI, and IoT technologies.
- Experience with community platforms and DevRel tools.
- Proven ability in technical content creation, including tutorials, documentation, and reference implementations.
- Hands-on experience with IoT and Firmware Development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated success in driving developer engagement and adoption.
- Experience with ESP32 and similar embedded development platforms is a plus.
