Key Responsibilities
- Preparation & Production:
- Prepare a range of baked goods including breads, pastries, and desserts in line with continental cuisine standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency and quality in all baked products.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor baking processes to ensure products meet established standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Conduct regular checks on ingredients and finished products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Hygiene & Safety:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and baked goods to prevent contamination and spoilage
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with senior chefs and other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and meet production demands.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Diploma or certification in Bakery & Pastry Arts or a related culinary field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a professional bakery.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in various baking techniques and familiar with continental bakery products.
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools safely.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
