Job Title: Commis – Pastry

Role Overview
The Commis – Pastry will support the daily production of high-quality baked goods and desserts at Létoile Patisserie. The role requires strong foundational pastry skills, strict adherence to hygiene standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring timely order execution and delivery coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pastry & Bakery Production
· Assist in preparation of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and baked products as per standard recipes
· Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
· Follow precise measurements and baking techniques
2. Hygiene & Food Safety
· Maintain exceptional personal and workspace hygiene standards at all times
· Follow all food safety protocols, including storage, labeling, and FIFO practices
· Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations
· Comply with FSSAI and internal hygiene standards
3. Order Management & Delivery Coordination
· Assist in preparing orders as per daily production schedules
· Ensure all orders are packed accurately and ready on time
· Coordinate with dispatch team for smooth and timely deliveries
· Maintain proper tracking of order flow to avoid delays or errors
4. Inventory & Stock Handling
· Assist in monitoring raw materials and ingredient stock levels
· Inform senior team members about shortages or quality issues
· Ensure proper storage conditions of ingredients and finished products
5. Team Collaboration
· Work closely with Chef De Partie and senior chefs
· Follow instructions and contribute to a smooth kitchen workflow
· Support team during high-volume production periods
Skills & Requirements
· Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and baking fundamentals
· Experience in hotel pastry kitchens or professional bakeries
· Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Attention to detail and a quality-conscious mindset
· Physically fit and willing to work long/early shifts if required
