Role Overview

The TestCafe Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and scripts for end-to-end web and application testing. The role involves working across UI, API, and POS system automation while supporting CI/CD pipelines and ensuring high-quality delivery within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end web automation using TestCafe (Node.js-based framework).
• Develop advanced automation scripts beyond record and playback, including custom functions, controls, and integrations.
• Create and maintain automation frameworks using POM and industry best practices.
• Perform UI automation using tools such as TestCafe, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Execute API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, SoapUI, or equivalent tools.
• Automate POS system testing and ensure reliability across multiple environments.
• Create and maintain CI automation scripts for Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and Functional testing.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, or TeamCity.
• Participate in defining and implementing automation strategy aligned with QA goals.
• Provide regular project status reports including regression metrics and test coverage.
• Support functional testing teams by validating automation scenarios.
• Maintain and update automation standards, policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Attend requirement and review meetings to align automation scope with project goals.
• Perform testing of microservices, containers, and Docker-based applications.
• Work in Agile-based delivery models and support STLC processes end-to-end.

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Strong experience with TestCafe testing framework
• Java programming expertise
• Strong mobile automation skills
• Experience with CBTA and API testing
• Hands-on experience in framework design and development (POM)
• Agile methodology and STLC knowledge
• Experience with ALM, JIRA tools
• Client-facing experience with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
