The colour matcher is responsible for the precise formulation, colour matching, and tinting of paints in accordance with customer supplied colour standards and specification, this role ensures that the final product meets both visual and technical requirement before production and delivery. The incumbent plays a vital a role in supporting lab operations, including maintaining cleanliness, adhering to safety standards and ensuring equipment is properly handled. the colour matcher is expected to work independently, follow instructions from the supervisor or manager, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all comp[any safety protocols and regulations maintain a safe working environment and take responsibility for both personal and workplace safety at all times
- Ensure proper usage, maintenance and strong of laboratory personal protective equipment and consumables in accordance with safety and operational guidelines.
- Accurately perform colour matchiong of paints based on customes supplied standards and specifications.
- formulate and produce touch-up paints aligned with approved customer spedcifications
- document colour formulations comprehensively and clearly noting and specific requirements or deviations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's in degree in chemistry , paint technology, 1-2 years of relevent experience in colour matchimg or paint formulation.
- strong knowledge in paint formulation, tinting and colour matching with a sound understanding of raw materials and colour science principles.
- proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret and communicate technical results effectively.
- experience working in laboratory environment with adherence to safety and quality protocols, including proficiency in using colour matching instruments, spectriphotometers, and standard laboratory equipment.
