Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Colorist responsible for managing color development, shade matching, and final color approvals in carpet and textile production. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring color accuracy and consistency, making independent decisions based on technical analysis and visual judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take complete ownership of shade approvals and color-related decisions across production batches.
- Analyze and approve color shades using both visual assessment and digital tools.
- Operate and manage spectrophotometer equipment for accurate color measurement.
- Evaluate and interpret Delta (ΔE) values to ensure precise color matching.
- Generate color projections and provide actionable insights based on digital data.
- Maintain consistency of shades across different lots and production stages.
- Collaborate with production, dyeing, and quality teams to resolve color discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and client specifications for color quality.
- Maintain records of color standards, approvals, and corrections.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate or B.Tech in Textile Engineering / Carpet & Handloom Technology or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in color management within the textile or carpet industry.
- Strong understanding of color theory, dyeing processes, and shade matching.
- Hands-on experience with spectrophotometer and color measurement systems.
- Ability to interpret and take decisions based on Digital Delta (ΔE) values.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in color approvals.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
