Job Title: Collection Officer

Job Summary

The Collection Officer is responsible for managing and recovering outstanding service payments from customers while maintaining professional communication and positive client relationships. The role requires strong experience in payment collections, negotiation skills, and consistent follow-up to ensure timely recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and follow up on outstanding service payment collections.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, and written communication to recover overdue payments.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements in line with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer communications.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal/regulatory guidelines.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk cases to management when required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (finance, sales, customer service) to resolve payment issues.
  • Prepare regular collection reports and updates.

What We're Looking For (Candidate Requirements)

  • Minimum 4 years of strong experience in payment collection.
  • Proven experience in service payment collection (mandatory).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and confidently.
  • Strong follow-up skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Good knowledge of collection processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
  • Proficient in MS Office and collection/ERP systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in corporate or B2B collections.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
