Role Overview
We are looking for a Collections Manager to oversee portfolio monitoring and recovery for our structured trade finance exposures. The role requires basic experience in NBFC/Banking collections, preferably in SME or trade finance portfolios, along with a clear understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks applicable in GIFT City.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Control
- Manage trade finance and lending portfolios to ensure timely recoveries and minimal delinquencies.
- Track ageing, overdue positions, and NPA trends; identify early warning signals.
- Work closely with Business, Credit & Risk teams to proactively mitigate stressed exposures.
- Recovery Strategy & Execution
- Drive structured recovery strategies for the assigned portfolio.
- Engage directly with Corporate/SME clients, insurance companies, banks, and risk coverage partners for communications related to pending dues.
- Lead timely collection, settlement, and resolution discussions in line with policy.
- Regulatory Compliance (IFSCA Framework)
- Ensure all collection practices are aligned with IFSCA regulations and internal governance standards.
- Maintain ethical, non-coercive recovery processes.
- Support audit requirements and regulatory reporting related to portfolio monitoring.
- Identify potential fraud or high-risk cases and escalate appropriately.
- Reporting & MIS
- Prepare periodic MIS on delinquency ratios, ageing analysis, and recovery performance.
- Track recovery efficiency and resolution timelines.
- Present actionable insights to senior management.
- Stakeholder & Client Management
- Maintain professional relationships during recovery processes.
- Collaborate with internalteams(Business, Risk, Credit, Legal, Ops) for holistic resolution.
- Balance credit loss minimisation with long-term client relationship management.
