About the Role

We are looking for a Collections Manager to join a fast-growing fintech organization building its NBFC arm, focused on providing microloans to gig workers.

This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end collections strategy, improving portfolio quality, and ensuring a balanced approach between recovery and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage collections for microfinance / microloan portfolios
Design and execute bucket-wise strategies (0–30, 30–60, 60+ DPD)
Drive collections efficiency, recovery rates, and NPA reduction
Build and manage field collections teams and agency networks
Monitor daily performance metrics (resolution rate, roll rates, bounce trends)
Implement digital collections strategies (IVR, WhatsApp, SMS, dialers)
Collaborate with Credit, Risk, and Operations to improve portfolio quality
Ensure compliance with NBFC & regulatory guidelines
Manage external vendors / collection agencies
Prepare and present MIS, dashboards, and performance insights to leadership

Key Requirements

7–14 years of experience in collections (NBFC / Microfinance / Fintech)
Strong exposure to unsecured lending / microloan portfolios
Hands-on experience in delinquency management & NPA control
Proven experience in field collections and agency management
Strong understanding of DPD buckets, roll rates, and recovery frameworks
Experience in digital collections tools and fintech ecosystems (preferred)
Strong analytical skills with experience in MIS & performance tracking
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and team handling skills

Preferred Candidate Profile

Background in NBFC / Microfinance / Digital Lending
Experience handling high-volume retail portfolios
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
