Collection manager (personal Loan)

Description

We are seeking a motivated Collection Manager for our Personal Loan division in India. This role involves overseeing the collections process to ensure timely and effective recovery of outstanding loans while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the collections process for personal loans, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments.
• Develop and implement collection strategies to improve recovery rates and minimize defaults.
• Analyze customer accounts and assess the risk of default to prioritize collections efforts.
• Communicate with customers regarding their accounts, payment plans, and potential solutions to resolve overdue payments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer issues and provide feedback on trends in loan defaults.
• Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance and outstanding debt to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4-13 years of experience in collections, preferably in the personal loan sector.
• Strong understanding of credit and collections processes, including relevant laws and regulations in India.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers and resolve issues.
• Proficiency in using collection software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions regarding collections strategies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple accounts effectively.
