Role & responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the performance of business loan collections.
- Lead a team of collection agents/officers; set targets and ensure KPIs are met.
- Design and implement collection strategies for early-stage, mid-stage, and late-stage delinquencies.
- Analyze account data and repayment behavior to forecast potential risks.
- Coordinate with legal and recovery teams for escalated cases including litigation or asset repossession.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational policies regarding loan collections.
- Generate periodic reports on collection performance, recovery rates, and portfolio risk.
- Interact with business clients professionally to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes.
- Train and develop staff to improve collection efficiency and customer interaction.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in loan collections, preferably in business or SME/Business Loans lending.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of loan recovery processes, credit risk, and legal aspects of collections.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using collection and loan management systems.
