Co-Founder & CTO Position | FinTech Startup (Potential Unicorn)

The Role: We're seeking a visionary technologist to join as Co-Founder & CTO, leading our technical strategy and building our founding engineering team. You'll have significant equity ownership and the opportunity to shape a product that impacts millions globally.
Ideal Background:
- Fundraising history & previous exits experience preferred
- 8+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Track record of architecting and scaling complex technology platforms
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, preferably with experience in fintech applications
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
- Experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap
- Build and lead the founding engineering team
- Architect scalable solutions using cutting-edge technologies
- Make key technical decisions that will shape our platform's future
- Work closely with the CEO to align technical strategy with business goals
- Drive innovation in AI-powered experiences
- Establish engineering culture, processes, and best practices
Required Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and their practical applications
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy regulations
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools
Leadership Qualities:
- Outstanding communication and team-building abilities
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into execution
- Strong product sense and user-centric mindset
- Proven ability to recruit and mentor top engineering talent
- Experience in agile methodologies and rapid iteration
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced startup environment
