Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Operator - Turning & Threading located in Kakinada. Responsibilities include operating CNC machines and performing machining tasks. The role involves ensuring the quality of finished products through precise measurements, regular quality control checks, and maintaining the equipment's proper functioning by conducting routine maintenance and inspections. Additionally, the individual will follow safety protocols and collaborate with team members to achieve production goals efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience: Most specialized roles require2 to 10 yearsof experience specifically in API threading or thread repair.
• Education: Technical diploma or certificate in mechanical engineering or machining.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving for troubleshooting machine variances and excellent attention to detail to prevent costly connection failures.
• Rotary Shoulder Connections (RSC): REG (Regular), IF (Internal Flush), FH (Full Hole), and NC (Numbered Connection).
• Casing and Tubing Threads: API Round (STC/LTC) and Buttress (BTC).
• CNC Programming & Operation:
• Ability to generate or modifyG-code(specifically G76 cycles) andM-codefor tapered threading.
• Experience with controllers such asFanuc, Siemens, or Mazak.
• Setting tool offsets and parameters for complex materials likeOCTG(Oil Country Tubular Goods) or high-strength alloys.
• Precision Measurement & Inspection:
• Expertise in usingAPI-specific gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, and vernier calipers.
• Performingin-process inspectionsto verify pitch diameter, taper, and thread height against stringent tolerances.
• Setup & Maintenance: Aligning workpieces and tooling to minimize runout; performing routine machine maintenance to ensure peak performance.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading detailed engineering drawings and specifications for API and non-API parts.
• Quality & Compliance: Adhering toAPI Q1or7-2, API 5B quality systems; maintaining daily activity logs and reporting any drawing or material errors
