Job Purpose
The Team Leader will drive the performance of a high-impact team of Subject Matter Experts specializing in Life Insurance sales. This role is responsible for ensuring the team provides elite-level advisory services to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), navigating the complexities of cross-border regulations, and achieving ambitious growth targets in the HNW/Affluent segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Team Leadership: Provide direction and coaching to a team of SMEs, ensuring they maintain deep product knowledge and master the nuances of the NRI customer journey.
- NRI Market Expertise: Act as the ultimate authority on NRI-specific insurance requirements, including FEMA regulations, tax implications (DTAA), and repatriation rules.
- Performance Management: Drive the team to achieve Monthly/Quarterly targets while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and persistence.
- Complex Case Support: Partner with SMEs to close high-ticket cases, providing tactical advice on financial underwriting and customized insurance solutions for global clients.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with the underwriting, legal, and product teams to streamline the onboarding process for overseas clients.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 8 years + Life Insurance Sales, with at least 23 years of dedicated experience in the NRI segment.
- Proven Leadership: Previous experience managing a team or acting as a mentor to senior sales professionals.
- Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of Life Insurance products (ULIPs, Term, Savings) specifically tailored for the NRI market.
- Regulatory Savvy: Strong grasp of international taxation, NRE/NRO banking channels, and documentation requirements for non-resident applicants.

- Consultative Selling: Ability to move beyond product pushing to problem-solving for HNW individuals.
- Cultural Intelligence: High proficiency in communicating with clients across different time zones and cultural contexts (Middle East, USA, UK, SE Asia, etc.).
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate complex financial data into simple, persuasive value propositions.
