Role : Power BI Paginated Reports Developer (Crystal Reports Migration)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Power BI Paginated Reports Developer to support a project migrating Crystal Reports to Power BI Paginated Reports (RDL). The role involves analyzing existing Crystal Reports and recreating them in Power BI Report Builder while maintaining equivalent layout, calculations, and pagination.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing Crystal Reports and document data sources, parameters, and report logic.
- Convert reports to Power BI Paginated Reports (RDL) using Power BI Report Builder.
- Recreate layouts including grouping, calculations, parameters, and pagination.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, or stored procedures used by reports.
- Validate report outputs by comparing Crystal vs Paginated reports for data accuracy and formatting.
- Deploy reports to Power BI Service or Power BI Report Server and configure data sources and security.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Power BI Paginated Reports (RDL) and Power BI Report Builder.
- Strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred).
- Experience building pixel-perfect operational reports.
- Experience with report parameters, expressions, grouping, and pagination.
Preferred
- Experience working with Crystal Reports (development or migration).
- Experience migrating Crystal Reports to Power BI Paginated Reports.
- Experience with Power BI Report Server or Power BI Service deployment.
- Familiarity with Git or version control for report assets.
